Co-Sell Guide

Co-Sell Pursuit Flow

End-to-end co-sell pursuit flow from account selection through registration, seller engagement, technical validation, funding, and close.

Written by Ali Chehab for ISV and SI teams running Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud co-sell. See also stages, UDL, and the hyperscaler co-sell knowledge graph.

Stage zero: account selection

Pick accounts with cloud strategy alignment, budget horizon under two quarters, and named executive sponsor.

Alliance and sales agree on top accounts monthly. Random co-sell registration on cold accounts wastes seller capacity.

Stage one: qualify and plan

Document pain, incumbent, decision team, and procurement path. Assign internal pursuit owner and alliance ops contact.

Output: one-page account plan with co-sell hypothesis per cloud.

Stage two: register

Create partner opportunity in the right system. Pass gate only when required fields are complete and customer contact consents to partner involvement.

Alliance ops screenshots registration for CRM attachment.

Stage three: engage hyperscaler seller

Joint meeting with customer, partner seller, and hyperscaler AE. Bring architecture and commercial outline.

After meeting, update partner opportunity stage and CRM within 24 hours.

Stage four: validate and transact

Technical validation, POC or assessment, funding application if applicable, marketplace offer or SOW issuance.

Close with all systems reflecting won status and attribution fields populated.
