Co-Sell Guide
Partner Center Opportunity
Microsoft Partner Center opportunity lifecycle: create, co-sell ready, seller acceptance, referral management, and closing with marketplace or enterprise agreement.

Creating the opportunity
Start from Partner Center co-sell workspace. Enter customer organization, contact, solution area, and estimated close date.
Use customer Microsoft tenant ID when available. Tenant linkage speeds seller validation.
Co-sell ready workflow
Mark co-sell ready only when customer meeting is scheduled or completed and technical fit is documented.
Premature co-sell ready burns seller trust. Alliance ops should audit ready flags weekly.
Referral acceptance
Microsoft-initiated referrals appear for partner acceptance. Accept within SLA and assign internal owner immediately.
Decline with reason when workload fit is wrong. Silent declines hurt partner score.
Close and attribution
Closed-won in Partner Center should match CRM close date and contract value. Mismatches break partner reporting and incentive payouts.
Attach marketplace transaction or services contract reference on close.
