The last gate before commercial close

Architecture, security posture, data handling, and migration scope all have to clear review before the pursuit moves into the commercial bill of materials. A production design that fails here routes to targeted rework — not back to the start of joint discovery — and returns to the same technical review once the specific gap is closed.

This gate exists because a pursuit that clears qualification and joint discovery but ships with an unresolved architecture or security gap becomes a delivery-stage exception instead of a design-stage fix, and delivery-stage exceptions are far more expensive to repair.

What passing unlocks

A passed design moves directly into the commercial bill of materials, where platform motion, funding need, and procurement route get decided across whichever combination of SI-owned IP, Databricks consumption, cloud consumption, and services applies to the workload.
